We recently moved to the area and didn’t realize how popular this bakery was until one of my clients recommended it. That’s when we discovered it’s just down the street, within walking distance from our home. We tried the Ham, Egg & Cheese Mallorca sandwich and the Cuban-inspired sandwich—both were delicious! For pastries, we had the bread pudding, quesito, and the powdered sugar guava pastry, and they were all amazing and definitely worth trying. Their passionfruit drink was so refreshing with a natural taste—no weird artificial flavor at all ❤️
After one visit, it’s easy to see why Borinquen Bakery is known as one of the best Puerto Rican bakeries in the state. We were impressed with everything we had! Cases full of goodies, beautiful custom cakes, and even delicious lunch options. We went at 7:30am on a Sunday to avoid the line and look over the cases before they were picked over, and we’re so glad that we did, because there was definitely a line by 8am. Some stand out items were the ham egg and cheese mallorca, pan quesito, and their fresh loaf of bread. Everything here is high quality and authentic. We will definitely be back!
I live in New London CT and we came here for the first time couple days ago and We LOVE IT! Great Costumer service, great Food , great Vibes, Very sweet people! I left this on yelp and had to leave it here too- I recently tried the tembleque latte- iced obviously. I actually went back the next day to get it. even better. it's probably the best coffee I've had in my 24 years on earth. one time I tried to order it and it was gone I almost crashed out. I'm ordered it again today- PERFECTION. I'm actually praying they never get rid of it. This coffee is overly good. Wepa

Went here for some take out to take back home. Food was authentic and very well. Got a el Jabarito and tripleta which were the first thing I ate and took my hunger away. Best part they have plenty workers helping and suggesting what’s best from bread chicken and pastries . I loved my tripleta and look forward for another visit .
📍New Britain, CT.- We are back at @borinquenbakerynbct to try their Iced Guava and cheese Latte and the Iced Tembleque Latte…and damnnnn they were 🔥🔥🔥🤤🤤🤤. Highly recommend! A hidden gem!!! Everything is delicious there!!! But the guava- cheese iced latte is a must!! They also have a big variety of Puertorican pastries, breads, cakes, flans, sandwiches and coffees!!
Great atmosphere inside, looks clean and on our visit had super friendly service. Long line to wait ... but I guess that means people like it. Coffee was excellent, vanilla flan is fantastic, loaf bread is great... only thing that was just ok was plain mallorca. Would definitely return to try other items.
Very nice place, line moved quickly even though there were a lot of people. The tembleque matcha is so so so good! The guava and queso latte was good but I don’t find much queso flavor on it. The guayaba and queso quesitos are also delicious, can’t wait to go back!
